#1 – I love compiling a good list ( I have boundless notebooks full of unreadable handwriting to prove it), for me its a way to lay out all my thoughts in a collective cohesive way that makes sense. When it comes to fashion how-to’s and talking about the latest in lifestyle trends compiling all my personal opinions in a way that won’t bore my readers to death is essential to me.
#2 I’m currently a Fashion marketing student attending Blanche MacDonald, and initially starting Jasmine’s Corner was a class assignment for my Social Media class. Personally, I feel like this project fell into my lap at exactly at the right moment. I’m in my third semester and only have a month give or take until graduation. I always wavered on the idea of starting my blog but would spend hours devouring every last post on blogs such as The August Dairies or Not Your Standard. So frankly I’m glad this task was handed to me so you and I can go on a wild style journey together.
#3 Fashion Doesn’t come easily to me – You might of read that and been sceptical, a fashion marketing student claiming they don’t know about fashion? I wouldn’t believe it either. What I mean by that statement is for me fashion is ever-changing and so is my personal style. I want this blog to encapsulate all varieties of the Industry, from latest trends, up and coming designers to watch, and my personal favourites of the month.
#4 Lastly a few simple facts about the girl behind Jasmine’s Corner – I’m born and raised in Vancouver British Columbia Canada, and the rainy city is still my stomping ground for the time being. From a young age, I’ve always had a love for anything that let me be creative and for myself, my main expression of that is through my individual style. At 21 years old my current favourite saying is ” accept the magic of new beginnings” and I hope that you are excited to figure them out with me along the way ~
